Freegal launched at the Whitley County Public Library a few months ago as a way for patrons to download songs for free — legally and to keep forever — with the entire Sony music catalog to choose from.
The Freegal website already displays the top ten songs downloaded for a given week (this week’s, for example, is “Perform This Way” by Weird Al Yankovic), but we decided to compile a list of the top ten downloaded artists since we joined Freegal in March. The list is certainly eclectic. Ranging from classic rock to classic opera, from British chanteuses to contemporary television musicals, the list is a display of the diverse and varied tastes of our wonderful patrons. 😀 Here it is:
