Amazon and Overdrive (the company behind Kentucky Libraries Unbound) announced today that later this year the Kindle will be compatible with the downloadable ebooks available through the library. To take things even a step further, Amazon plans for the Kindle to be able to keep track of notes taken from when a book is checked out and remember them for that user the next time the book is checked out or purchased.
